How it works

Most of the weddings I photograph are full days. Ten hours sounds like a lot until you write the day down: an hour with each of you getting ready, the ceremony, the slow half hour after it when everyone hugs everyone, family groups, twenty minutes of portraits away from the crowd, dinner, speeches and the first dance.

I arrive before anyone is dressed and stay until the dance floor has filled. Nothing is posed for longer than it takes to move one aunt out of the shade. The family groups are run from a list we write together, so they take fifteen minutes, not forty.

Two or three of my full days each year are destination weddings in western Norway, usually Hemsedal or Voss. The package is the same; travel is a fixed fee in the builder and flights are charged at cost.

The album is included because a gallery on a hard drive is not something your grandchildren will ever open. You choose the spreads in your proofing gallery; I design it and send a proof before it goes to print.
